Marion First Church of the Nazarene (Marion FCN) is located in north-central Ohio approximately 50 miles north of Columbus it is a growing community that recently ran out of space. In their growth they realized the need for an Audio Visual Integrator to guide them through the processes that were to follow. Elite Multimedia Inc. (Elite) was brought on to consult with the church’s growing Technical needs. Marion FCN had the vision to build a new facility to hold their weekly gatherings but needed to temporarily move their congregation to the gym in order to build. Elite designed and installed a system to support their needs while the new Worship facility was being constructed. In this transition the church was able to buy needed equipment such as a new digital SC48 console, Jands M1 and Blackmagic ATEM switcher. This was designed with the plan of using the same equipment in the worship center upon completion of construction. This plan allowed the volunteers to be familiar with the equipment when they moved into their new space.
Elite installed a distributed Electrovoice system powered by CPS series amplifiers, Sennheiser wireless microphones and antenna distribution was utilized as well as an Aviom system to support the worship team’s needs. Elite designed and installed acoustic panels for the new facility to help with sound reinforcement. There was a Leviton dimming system installed to provide house and theatrical dimming to all the fixtures. The theatrical system consists of five lighting positions to properly cover the stage. To supplement the incandescent fixtures Elite installed LED wash fixtures to be able to have the capability of doing a color wash on stage. The video system consists of three Eiki projectors that utilize ProPresenter’s Multi-Screen Module using a TripleHead2Go for distribution. This allows the church a variety of options within the screens and looks of the experience. Elite installed DaLite screens and the center screen is motorized to give the church a clean look when they have a service with Baptisms. The volunteers quickly learned this system and made templates as well as utilized the sync and Master control Module options for the iMac in broadcast. There was a Blackmagic switcher installed for recording to PremierePro and the TV distribution throughout the campus. The video system consists of three HD cameras, one of which is a pan tilt zoom camera controlled remotely from the video suite. The church opened last month and are getting great responses from congregants and the volunteers are operating all technical pieces. Marion FCN is looking forward to what God has in store for them in the future and they know they have a solution to meet their ministry needs that is versatile, efficient, and designed with their needs in mind.
