FREE Audio and Projection Seminar!
October 23, 2009
Join us for 2 days of informative discussions on “New technologies for the church”; “The art of mixing- part 1 and 2”; and “From what’s on screen to multi-screen.” Here is quick overview on each topic. Session 1: "New Technologies for the Church" - showcase of new technologies including the new Electrovoice EVA Line Array, EV amplifiers, EV conventional boxes, EV speaker processing, Sennheiser mics and personal monitoring, the Digidesign VENUE Profile, the Yamaha M7CL V2, Allen-Heath iLive, and Presonus Digital Consoles. There will be a 3-screen video projection system by the brand new Panasonic PT-DW100 projectors, driven by Renewed Vision's Pro Presenter Advanced. Lighting will include the Lands Vista console. Same Page Music will be showing their new Chord/Music Chart/Personal Monitor System and much, much more. Session 2: "The Art of Audio mixing – Part 1" - a non-technical approach to a better sounding service. You will learn how to hear the EQ changes you make and do it with confidence, learn tricks on how to build a mix from the ground up with the help of Digidesign Venue's "Virtual Soundcheck" technology, and learn real world tricks from John Mills (voice behind www.techtraining101.com and has traveled Full Time as a Front of House engineer for Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster, Shane and Shane, and currently handles most of Paul Baloche's live dates) Session 3: "The Art of Audio mixing – Part 2" – We hope you walk away from this session inspired to mix and mix with art in mind instead of science. Here we will take the basic mix we completed in Part 1 and dig into the details. By storing snapshots along the way and comparing Part 1’s five minute sound check (which is what most of us get on any given Sunday) to one with a little more attention to the details attendees will learn tricks to get sharper more defined mixes. Note: “The Art of Audio mixing – PART 1” is prerequisite to this session as we will be implementing many of the tricks John went over there. This session is intended to not only teach you how to do sound check on the fly, but also how each part of the mix relates to the other. We will also finish up with a little compression and effect tips and tricks. Session 4: "From what’s on screen to multi-screen" - This seminar will take a look at some exciting new video technologies, as well as, some of the how to behind worshiping visually. We'll take a look at how it’s easier than ever to do multi-screen visuals powered by Renewed Vision's ProPresenter. But even if multi-screen isn't your thing, we'll dive into ProPresenter, taking a look at how this program can change the way you produce anything onscreen. But above all, we'll step back and discuss what it means to lead worship visually.
